Exercise also reduces the risk of stroke and high blood pressure. It is also obvious how exercise affects adipose tissue – physical activity reduces body weight and obesity, which is a risk factor for the development of many diseases. Active people also have a reduced risk of bone fractures. It has also been proven that people who are physically active suffer from cancer to a lesser extent – colorectal cancer (it is the third most common cancer in men).

Physical activity also contributes to the improvement of well-being, reducing stress and nervous tension – the term “in a healthy body – a healthy mind” fits perfectly here. It is worth noting, however, that before undertaking regular physical activity, it is advisable to visit a doctor and perform basic tests to determine whether there are any contraindications to sports. It is worth doing tests such as an EKG or an exercise test. Remember, starting exercise should be gradual in order to get our body used to the new conditions. This applies to the intensity, duration, and frequency of exercise. Each physical activity should be tailored to the capabilities of a specific person. However, education is necessary that will make you aware of how to exercise in order not to adversely affect your health.
When deciding to exercise, you must not forget about a proper diet ensuring the demand for micro-and macroelements, and adapting it to energy expenditure – the correct proportions of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates are necessary.
However, many people choose a passive lifestyle based on too little physical activity. If possible, walk as much as possible and choose a bicycle instead of the bus. Spend your free time with your family in an active way, encouraging the youngest to engage in sports.
